Free Amigurumi Hippo Crochet Pattern
To crochet an amigurumi hippo, you will need to buy some yarn. You can crochet it in any color you want. The designer recommends Himalaya Velvet or Himalaya Dolphin Baby for this project. Please see other required materials below:
- Crochet Hook: 3.0 mm
- Safety Eyes (18-20 mm)
- 3 cm false eyelash
- Fiberfill stuffing
- Sewing needle and scissors
- Satin ribbon (You will use it to create a bow)
- Yarn needle

To create a tail, you will need to crochet a Romanian Cord about 5 cm long. After sewing the tail to the body, cut the ribbon and tie it around the hippo’s neck.
